JMC Communities Celebrates 30 Years In St. Petersburg
Hometown builder has completed more than 18 communities in the state of Florida over the past three decades
St. Petersburg, FL- (3/17/2008) - This year JMC Communities, an award-winning St. Petersburg-based developer specializing in luxurious waterfront communities, will celebrate its 30th year in the Tampa Bay real estate development industry. JMC has enjoyed much success over the past three decades, providing more than 4,000 luxury homes to the state of Florida.

In 2007 JMC proved it was a leader in Tampa Bay real estate development when its Sandpearl Resort & Spa on Clearwater Beach was the first new resort of its kind in more than 25 years. It herald in a new era for Pinellas County as tourism moves to a more luxurious level.
Sandpearl was also a first new development along the Gulf Coast that was built in a more energy-efficient and environmentally sensitive way. Due to its energy-efficiency, indoor air quality, water conservation and natural resource conservation, Sandpearl qualified as a LEED certified hotel. LEED stands for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design," a nationally recognized rating system produced by the U. S. Green Building Council.
In February 2007, JMC broke ground on Ovation, its newest luxurious condominium located on prestigious Beach Drive in downtown St. Petersburg. It is the only condominium of its kind to offer 360-degree view penthouses and 180-degree panoramas from the other residences in such a preferred location. Currently, Ovation's construction is up to the 9th floor with completion of the 27-story building anticipated for summer 2009.
Another project of JMC's currently under construction is Marquesas, an upscale condominium on the southernmost end of Clearwater Beach. It will feature two 15-story towers with the first phase expected to be completed in mid-2009. The towers sit on almost six acres of land with more than 700 feet of beachfront. Each residence will overlook the Gulf of Mexico and Clearwater Harbor.

Most recently, JMC was named 2007 Business of the Year from the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce.
